Requirements

• Shuttle Services: The Global–Interamerican Rent a Car shuttle will provide you with pick-up transportation to and from the Airport Terminal. We would also ask that you call 1-866-635-3060 prior to your arrival so that we may pick you up upon arrival at the airport.
• License Requirement: To rent a Global-Interamerican Rent a Car Vehicle a valid, driver’s license is required.
• Rental Rates: Daily Rental rates are based on a 24-hour “rental day” starting at the time of rental. The minimum charge is one day, plus mileage, if applicable. Weekly is 5-7 consecutive days The renter will be charged for each hour and/or any part of an hour in excess of a rental day the renter keeps the vehicle until the vehicle is returned, up to the applicable daily rate. Mileage charges, if applicable, will be the number of miles driven as determined by the odometer readings at the beginning and end of the rental.
• Additional Driver: The Global-Interamerican Car Rental vehicle may be driven only by an authorized driver. An authorized driver is the renter and any additional person who appears at the time of rental, and signs the rental agreement. All authorized drivers must satisfy our age requirements, have a valid driver’s license, and fulfill our other qualifications. No other persons are authorized to drive the vehicle. A $7.50 per day fee will be charge for additional driver; driver must be 21 years of age.
• Driving Age: The minimum age to rent is 21 years of age. For drivers 21 to 24 years of age applicable charge is $22.99 per day.
• Deposits and Credits/requirement: To qualify to rent a, Global-Interamerican Car Rental vehicle the renter must present at the time of rental a major credit card,in the renter’s own name with available credit. A hold will be placed on the renter’s credit card for the estimated amount of the rental plus 15% or a minimum amount, whichever is greater; the hold will be removed at the end of the rental when the final charges are settled.
• Debit Cards, Bank cards or check cards are not accepted.

Gasoline Policy: A refueling charge of $8.99 per Gallon will be added if vehicle is returned with less gas than was in tank at time of rental, unless the renter chooses the prepaid fuel option. If the renter chooses the prepaid fuel option, the renter will pay a specified charge as set forth in the rental agreement and have no obligation to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. There is no credit or refund given for any fuel in the tank at the end of the rental.

Cash Deposit Requirement: Only for passengers that have a driver license other than USA and Canada - Cash Rentals require purchase of CDW with$500/deductible. Return Airline tickets. Amount of rental paid in full up front with $500.00 deposit. Return Airline tickets and $500.00 are returned to customer upon rental car return.

Payment Methods Global–Interamerican Car Rental accepts the following methods of payment: Cash, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, and Diners Club.

Driving Area Restrictions: All global-Interamerican Car Rental vehicles may not leave the State of Florida.

Insurance / Coverage: All customers with US or Canada Drivers License will be request to provide proof of full insurance at time of rental. Your lack of or inability to provide proof of full insurance may result in refusal to rent. (NO EXCEPTIONS). We recommend that you check with your coverage agent prior to traveling to determine if your personal auto policy will provide coverage for damages to the rental vehicle as well as damages or injury to third parties.

Some policies have limitations on the type of vehicle and/or the length of rental. If you elect to decline the Loss Damage Waiver (CDW) coverage offered by the Company, the company will require that proof of coverage be presented at the time of the rental. Collision Damage Waiver (SUV, Luxury and Maxi Van) $29.99 per day Collision Damage Waiver (Full size, Mini Vans & Convertibles) $27.99 per day Collision Damage Waiver (Economy through Mid Size) $22.99 per day Supplemental Liability Coverage. Starting at $12.99 per day. Personal Accident Insurance $8.99 per day Provides medical expense coverage for the renter and passengers in the rental vehicle in the event of an accident in addition to an accidental death benefit.

• S.L.I. - Supplemental Liability Insurance. An optional Liability Insurance supplement. It will increase the limits of liability protection for renter and additional authorized drivers. Starting at $12.99 per day.
• C.D.W. - Collision Damage Waiver. $0-$500-$1000.00 deductible - The renter of the renter vehicle will not be held responsible for the loss or damage to the rental car, regardless of who is at fault with the terms of the rental agreement. Starting at $22.99 per day.
• P.A.I. - Personal Accident Insurance. - Provides accidental death and medical expense benefits for the renter and the passengers in the rental vehicle. Starting at $8.99 per day.
• P.E.C. - Personal Effects Coverage. - Covers loss and damage to personal items. This insurance protects the personal effects of the renters and family members who are traveling with them and live with them. Starting at $8.99 per day.
• Child restraint device: Availability notice Section 316.613, Florida statutes, requires every operator of a motor vehicle transporting children age 5 and under to properly use a federally approved , crash tested child restraint device. This car rental company has federally approved crash tested child devices available for rent. Rate per day $7.00.
• GPS: Garmin C330 Street Pilot - Navigation System. Simple and easy to use. Provides vocal and visual prompts, search by address or category, easily find destinations (food, lodging, etc.) Units programmed for multiple languages. Turn by audio directions. Available at $10.99 per day.
